Newbie question. ive just read a second old article on the SSK Beauty & the Beast conversion. In the last year of reading on here and Specialty Pistols i have never seen a topic on it. Did it just never take off or is it outdated technology
Thanks
Damon

I don't think it is outdated! “I” think it is a great conversion. I would say call SSK and ask them questions. I don’t think you would EVER be disappointed with their work.

I think it was ahead of its time. You here of switch barrel guns alot but very seldom a handgun. I had a HK one time that had 4 different barrels but thats about it. I own 2 of the B&B conversions, one I had made new and one I bought used. As a matter of fact it is the ONLY one I've ever seen for sale. I keep one gun set up as Beauty and the other as Beast, but have the second barrel for each. Both of mine are 44 but it was offered in 45 also. I love mine. The one set up as the Beauty is the most accurate revolver other than a FA that I've ever owned.

Would you be willing to post some pictures of both?

I have a Beast. It does an awesome job controlling recoil. Those Buffalo Bore +P+ loads leave at 1500 fps! That's .454 power in a .44 Super Redhawk. I head shot a doe at 100 yds with it too. My fantasy is to take a cull elephant with it.
