My October NRA Magazine, "American Hunter," just arrived. I really enjoyed Gary's article on page 96, on the Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Special.
All you revolver shooters that are enjoying the "revival" of the .44 Special, will want to see this article!
Oh, and excellent photography, Gary.

Thanks Guys! If you want to see things like this continue you should send an email to the editor and let them know you would like to see more coverage of handgun hunting topics.

On my side of the pond, I just got the issue with the handgun hunting/shooting tutorial - nicely illustrated by pics of a certain member of this forum...
I really enjoyed the article so I'm very much looking forward to the next issue with Gary's piece...just have to wait an easy 6-8 weeks....

Thanks Guys! If you want to see things like this continue you should send an email to the editor and let them know you would like to see more coverage of handgun hunting topics. That was my plan Gary. I have one of those guns too, and it worked great on a white tail last fall. I was pleasantly surprised to see handgun hunting recognized and plan to let them know. Also, it was not the usual "one or two lines" they print sometimes. Good Job!

Well my copy finally made it here today....sheese a week late. If any of you guys work for the PO look into this for me... thanks.
Any way, nice job Gary. I like the last line of the article;
"If you wish to scoff at hunting with a handgun with roughly a 50-yard effective range, then just think of it like bowhunting, except better, because you get to shoot guns."
