The trigger of my .500 Linebaugh is right at 2 lbs 6 oz and I love it.

2.5 to 3 lb's on hunting guns (rifles and pistols) , 1 - 1.5 for target work (IHMSA).

I am very use to light triggers now, even when hunting.
On a semi-auto or revolver I get them as light as they will go and still be safe.

That works for me.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Absolutely no creep, short overtravel, and a weight of pull around 3 lbs. Target only guns, around 2 lbs.

2 lbs is a good overall weight for hunting/target for me on my single shots. my G2 model contender and my xp is lighter yet, but 2lbs is what it takes to completely satisfy me.

I agree with 500WE Taking out the creep makes a big difference and at 3 lbs works great for me.

I set my Encore and Striker at 2.5 pounds. That is decent for hunting.

2 pounds on my guns, once you do one you have to do them all. when you get used to a light pull there is no going back.
