Will this red dot hold up to 454 casull recoil, a friend was kind enough to give me one and I dont want to put it on the casull and destroy it.

I have not had good luck with the Tascos On heavy hitters. I have not used a later one though.

Broken record time. Get an Ultradot and don't look back. I have abused mine for four years on a .475 Linebaugh and .500 JRH and it has never missed a beat. The Tascos don't have a very good reputation for handling recoil.

It worked fine on my RH in .44 mag. but when I put it on my Encore.500 mag. barrel,it shattered one of the inside lenses,so my .500 now wears an Ultra-dot.

I have one of the older ones (15yrs) and it has been fantastic even though the tube is too small to gather any light and at my age I need LIGHT.
