I see Hornady just relaesed a list of new stuff. Interesting they offer a 44 Special and 45 Colt critical defense round now. That's cool for you guys that like the old cartridges and want to carry. They also just released the 8th edition loading manual with a bunch of the new powders, bullets and cartridges. I know we just had a thread on loading manuals. Here is the link to the "new" stuff. I watched the little video on the 44sp and 45 colt Critical Defense ammo. The schmuck says the 44sp and 45 colt were NOT good manstopper cartridges because the had big bullets going slow!?!
I know he has to tout his own ammo but when you put crap out there like that, well everything you have to say afterwards is tainted by the crap he just driveled out.
If the 45 colt is not a good manstopper then I guess a whole bunch of Texas Rangers must have been wrong and John Browning imulated the wrong cartridge when he developed the 1911! Bozos...
I wont be buying any thanks...

I wont be buying any thanks... I think he was talking about the terminal performance of the bullet itself. I don't think he was referring to the ability or lack thereof of the cartridge.
You can't wait any longer. Join the NRA and start writing your Congressmen and Senators.

They are sure proud of the 8th Edition Reloading Manual at $38.33 a Copy. That is Full Retail, I hope to find it a little cheaper when they start showing up in the catalogs.

Midway has the new manual(8th) and it is 29.99,not too bad,the 7th edition is 23.99 for anyone looking for that one.
