I've used hollowpoints for big game up to this point but am going to try flatnose hardcast this year.

like hard cast .but been having great luck with big gr hollow points 250/300 and bigger they seem to work good for me.
shoot it if its still coming shot it again!!!

XTP Mag, Hardcast, and all my rifle caliber single shot stuff is either Nosler Ballistic tips or Accubonds. I will at times use Partitions and Sierra JFP

been digging hornady xtp 300 gr in my 454 with good accuracy.
shoot it if its still coming shot it again!!!

In my 460 XVR I use 260 gr. Nosler Partitions. In mt 454 I am going to try 250 gr. Barnes XPB bullets. In my son's Encore he uses 200 gr. Barnes bullets. He is smart. He bought a 460 too because he knew that dad was reloading for his 460.

For a number of years I used a standard 300gr XTP with the double crimp grooves for whitetail loaded to 1450fps from my FA 454. It was accurate, gave great penetration, always expanded and when I did my part the bullet worked....

355gr WFN-GC .480Ruger
250gr Keith .44mag
150gr JSP .357mag
120gr BT 6.5JDJ#2
+ a spattering of factory stuff.
