Has anyone used this round for whitetail? I ran a couple of boxs through my 6 1/2 inch 629 and it really liked it. Just seeing if it would be a decent option.

I have a friend in Indiana that reports good success with it from a carbine (18 in) Encore and a 20 in Marlin lever gun. I belive he and his boys have taken about a dozen deer with it and all have dropped quickly. No recovered bullets.

Although I think the round is best for the levergun. It probably would not be a bad revolver round either.

I bought a couple of boxes over the summer to try out in my SBH. They had decent accuracy but could not compare to the 300 Gr XTP loads for group size so that is what I went with. They make their bones by being able to extend the range out of your rifle not to sure how well they work out of a handgun. I prefer something with a little weight behind it when hunting

I shoot it 225 gr LE rounds in all of my 44's. I am really impressed with them. I have taken 3 deer with them and all dropped in their tracks. 2 were taken with handguns, a S&W 629 and Virginian Dragoon, and 1 with a Ruger 44 Carbine. Longest shot was about 75 yards. I also shoot them in a 4.75" Blackhawk and a 7.5" Super Redhawk. Others my not like them but they do work for me... Barry

My RSBH 44mag and 357mag love these rounds. None of my 30-30's have liked them at all. In the 44mag its very accurate.
