Did you have the means to stop the violence? :-) Couldn't stop the violence - I get to shoot hogs and such but the deer are a different matter. I do have one that I'm going to take if I see him though. Neither of these fit the bill.

Nice sequence of pictures Gary. I do have one that I'm going to take if I see him though. Neither of these fit the bill. That 10 looked to be pretty nice - So how big is the one with your name on it?

The 10 is a 9 and a really cool looking deer. His brow tines are nearly as high as his beam tines and he's got a lot of black on his face. He's going to get one or two more years to grow, depending on what he looks like next year. Last year he was an 8. This is a good look at him last year.  The one I'm after is more/less an 8 pt. but he's at least 8 yrs. old and very clever. I've seen him a couple times but he's going down hill so he needs to be taken out.

Yep he would be - the ranch is undergoing a change in focus so a lot of deer that haven't been getting shot are going to bite it.

Here is a font on view of the buck above this year. You can perhaps see that on his right side he's got the beginning of a 10th point. I want to see him next year.
