http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=679743&l=732dac5df8&id=100000117257741My dad & I went camping this weekend here in Indiana at the national forest. I hadn't been in this wood for a couple of years & I had now clue where to go. So I was just still hunting around a thicket. This doe & three others came up trough the fog at about 20 yards. That hand loaded XTP dropped her in her tracks! The other three just milled around for a little while & I would have shot another one for the local food pantry if it hadn't been so far to drag them.

Congrats on your first one of many to come.

Nice! You'll never forget that hunt I assure you.
Now you'll think "why lug a rifle around the woods?"

Congratulations are in-order.
It looks like you were using a 7 1/2" Redhawk, nice revolver. Give us the details on the bullet performance, wound channel size and depth of penetration, etc. What is the load data that you are using?

Cruiser I love to hear and see stories about deer hunters using open sighted revolvers. That to me is real handgun hunting. Nice job and I hope you get many more.

Yep, congrats! Your hooked now and the sickness will escalate, don't look for a temperature or other signs, as the only cure are more handguns, more ammo, and MORE TAGS!! CONGRATS again!
