Im getting ready to trade in my Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunter in .44 mag to my local Cabelas, as they have another pistol Im after in their gun library. Do any of you have a current price guide to give me a idea of the guns value? It's 3 months old and unfired.
As I've noted lately, I think my primary hunting pistols are going to be scoped TC's from here on out.

Thanks,
-240

Don't have the guide, but you may be better suited (make more money), selling the gun outright.

You will never get close to the actual value of your gun in a trade. You are far better served to attempt to sell before you trade. I just sold that gun in 41 Mag, in like new condition, and it took a while to get $500 plus shipping. You would be lucky to get $400 from them toward another gun but it can't hurt to ask.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Yeah, I might end up putting the gun I want on layaway for a while. Then sell mine on Gunbroker, if Cabelas won't give me $500. for it.
Why is it, I always find these "deals" around Christmas time? The gun Im looking to pick up is a .45 Redhawk 4". It's gonna be my carry gun when hunting over my .45 Encore 8". I will post pics when I get a minute.

X2, I know we're just talking round numbers here, but you may be able to make that $100 up with one of their offers. For example if you put it on a cabela's card, they may knock $100 off the price. I know I sound like I work for them but I don't, I promise.

I have a 4 inch 45 Redhawk for sale and have a friend looking to buy a 44 Hunter. Maybe we can make a deal.

Thanks fellas, I ended up selling the Bisley Hunter to a co-worker for $500. , and then used a $100. off coupon, (when you spend $500). When it was all said and done, I had to put $9.00 on my charge card, and walked out with a Redhawk 4" .45LC. I will post pics soon.

I bought it on a lark. It is a fine gun, but I am more of a single action guy, and have a 4 inch 45 Bisley Blackhawk that John Linebaugh did for me that fills the bill for a carry gun.
