Does anyone know if you can use the G2 barrels on an older contender action?

Yes You can,
There has been some problem with Locking Lugs, But They are not hard to Fix. This happens both ways, Old Barrels to new Frames,
New Barrels to old Frames.

And there is that muzzle loader barrel that you have to file down the pin on.

Rod, too.
