Long ago, a young(er) 6'8" guy and a 5' 8" guy would find their life paths intersecting on a windy Wyoming prairie...
The tall guy carried a Contender in 6.5 JDJ

The short guy carried an XP-100 in .250 Savage.

Nearly 20 years ago, on the annual Handgun Hunters International Antelope Hunt. Gregg Richter and yours truly.
Today, if you get to looking for a thin middle aged guy with a .250 Savage, you'll find the XP easily enough, but the owner is neither thin nor middle-aged!

Only a couple things have changed since then, Ken. We were young handgun hunter studs then; now just leave out the "young" part and substitute the word "experienced!"

And in my case at least, leave out the word "stud".

No Way, Ken. You are too humble. Your world-wide hunting experiences qualify you easily.

I could possibly name one or maybe a few other handgun hunters that can walk in your boots, but that's about it.

Keep up the postings, I enjoy them.

LOVE IT!!!

And yeah, a couple of nice antelope, but the mutual admiration is a 10; all us handgun hunters need to stick together!

Lord willing, I hope to, John. I'm planning for an antelope hunt this fall. Bison in March.
