Has anyone chronographed a Savage Striker? If so, what velocity difference is there between the open and closed brake?

Yeah, being there is still an expansion chamber there regardless of whether open or closed, that last couple inches doesn't act the same as a solid 14" barrel would. You still lose your gas seal and hence lose the PUSH.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.
