I have a chance to get 500 lead 210 grain swc's for my .41 mag. The price is only $37.00, which I think is a bargain. Has anyone tried lead swc's on any game animal, or pig? Looks to me like it has plenty of the ubiquitous meplat that everyone seems to look for. Best -

They would work just fine as long as they are hard enough, if you can scratch them with your fingernail they are to soft.

Hardness is what I was thinking about. But, from mail order, it is an after the fact issue, no?

Contact the manafacture if you can & ask if they are a "hardcast" bullet or "normal" alloy. For pigs you'd want hardcast. If you are dealing with a retailer post the brand name & details here & someone may have tried them.
