Beautiful fox, Gregg. Here's another "silver fox" from 1992, taken with S&W 629 .44 Mag.:

You have a good memory, Kral! Actually, the answer is no, this one is smaller, however, I shot it in the same area. I have seen two or three, plus a bunch of reds.

Wow, Gregg beautiful fox. I sure miss seeing more of these from my time in the Conifer area. I am sure we have them down here, but every critter type here tends to be much more warry about being seen.

That is a beautiful animal. I had a carbine barrel in that caliber and I regret selling it. I should have had a gunsmith turn it into a Super 16.

What kind of scope do you have mounted on that? What kind of load did you use? Did you call him in or was it a shot of opportunity>? Thanks

Thank you. The scope is an older Burris 7X, load is factory Hornady V-Max 17 grain bullet. I shot him off of a bait station that I had set up for coyotes.

I had seen him and others (both reds and silvers) on the bait but didn't really want to bust a fox. Then my taxidermist offered me $$ for a Silver so I popped one the next chance I got.

That is a beautiful animal. I agree with those that suggested mounting it, by the way I just purchased your antelope/mule deer video recently and enjoyed it thoroughly.

No worries, that fox will be mounted and have a long life!

Thank you, jimbo, for the compliment on my video.

Nice! The fox population has been pretty low here in last 20 years as far as I know, but in the last couple of years I have seen more than the previous 20. It's good to see them coming back.
