Ron's guns lists them on GunsAmerica.com for $299 shipped to your FFL. I have bought from Ron a couple of times. He is real good and fair to deal with. BG

ya should be able to find a new G2 for $250+ tax, or therabouts. you may find a used old model easy open frame(started at serial# 195,000) for quite a bit less.

The prices stated above are about the going rate at the moment. If you dont have to have a G2, the easy open frames can sometimes be had at a real bargin. I have picked them up for as little as 100-150 before, although rare. Just keep a check on the auction sites and the forum classifieds. On the G2 one advantage is that the trigger / hammer is like the encore in that if you cock the hammer and decide not to take the shoot you can let the hammer down and no worry about having to reset it by pulling on the trigger guard to break open the barrel like the older contenders. Of course that is all of a different story, guess the main thing is gotta get a frame.

I'm thinking of picking up a 7-30 Waters G2 Contender(Frame and barrel)...How much is the going rate for one of these? Does $500.00 sound right? How about a 22lr G2 Contender?

My selling price would be about $250 for a pistol frame, $280 for a rifle frame, and anywhere between $200 and $230 for a barrel. Barrel price would be dependent upon caliber and length. Those prices seem to be the going rate around here.
