What are your thoughts or experience with Taurus revolvers? Are they good quality? How do they compair with Ruger S&W and such? How is the Tracker or Raging Bull?

For the money, buy a Ruger or S&W and NEVER look back... ... ... JMHO

I have a couple friends who really like their Taurus revolvers, but for me personally,I've always liked Rugers because of their strength and they can be tuned to have an excellent trigger.

I've only had one Taurus, a Tracker in 41 Mag. It was an excellent gun. That said I currently own a couple & S&Ws, more than a few Rugers, one Charter Arms, & no Taurus. If I were hunting a new hunting revolver it would be either another Ruger, or possibly a custom shop S&W N frame.

honestly, i've had to send back my two raging bulls 3 times each, each time took 8 weeks or more to get back. they call it a lifetime warranty b/c it takes a lifetime to get it back if you send it in. had a friend buy one of mine despite the problems, he knew about them all, just liked it and so far not another problem, but not as accurate as my FA and ruger i switched to. never had a problem with a smith either, but a freind did, sent his in and had it back by the end of the week, incredible service.

Ive owned 2, a .357 revolver that was the most accurate revolver Ive owned and the 1911 model .45. Both were good dependable guns but with that said my personal choice is a Ruger
