Imagine experiencing a hunting trip where you trulydidn't know if you'd come back in one piece? Cold SteelPresident, Lynn C. Thompson, came close while huntingthe "outback" of Australia. One small mistake whiletrekking through the bush could have easily meant he'dbe steam rolled by a 2000 pound Buffalo or get gored bya vicious wild boar. And that's not including the otherdeadly challenges such as, venomous snakes, huge saltwatercrocodiles and shark-infested rivers.I took a taste, and it was still excellent, so decided to use it up once and for all. Lord (or whoever the Mormons worship) knows what else is back there, and I hope to get around to the rest of those anonymous containers sometime soon.

OK, I answer your call, TCMan.

This does sound like jamesstewart really liked the video, and is helping promote it. Nothing wrong with that. I own a copy of it and have watched it more than once. I saw a lot of gung ho stuff, unlike stalking and getting in close for that one good shot. But then, I am not Lynn Thompson, and his style of hunting is different than mine. To each his own; one thing for sure, Lynn's video has action in it! His choice, but not mine.

If Mr. jamesstewart would be so kind as to furnish me his mailing address, I would send him a copy of my video, and if he liked it I would ask that he pay me, and if not, I would ask that he return it. http://www.hunterseyevideo.com

Really folks, there is dang little out there in the video world on handgun hunting, and I feel that we all need to stick together!

PS: Lynn Thompson is in possesion of my video; as my son Joe gave one to him personally.

Best to ALL of us handgun hunters!!!

Thanks for clarifying Mr. Gregg, I really didn’t know what to think about the post. We have had a problem before with people posting links and giving interesting segments that were questionable. In this case, ignorance is not bliss.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Stewart. Sorry for taking your post the wrong way!

PS, we like eyecandy!!!

Fair suck of the sauce bottle mate. There aren’t any sharks in the rivers, the crocs ate em all. The buffalos aren’t a problem either, the rock pythons make short work of those b**tards and the snakes get carried off by the mozzies. Only thing you need to worry about are the bunyips.

I know Lynn a little, I have the video, and I have spoken to him to some lenght about his trips there. He was not hanging is butt out on the limb that far, not compared to what he has done in Africa 15 years ago or what Ross Seyfried and others were doing 25 years ago.

I am not sure what this guys angle is, but if you want to see a video where a lot of stuff gets shot with a iron sight Ruger Redhawk then go for it. I didn't care for it all that much but it was sure worth the price I paid for it as it was a gift from Lynn...

I have Lynn's video too. One of these days I am going to watch it again and count the number of rounds fired. Man that guy believes in putting some lead in the air.

While it is entertaining, I would rather see more "hunting" and a little less "shooting".

yeah i have seen clips of it on youtube, and it seemed prettty clear that it was a culling effort.

anyway, that does seem like a straight up advertisement. maybe the marketers of this movie targeting a key demographic? if not, I appologize ahead of time.

if lynn really wants to sell a video he should have video'd his taking of the big six with his 454. that'd sell.

Folks seem to be divided on this video. I thought it was good. Lynn is quite the accomplished shooter in my opinion. Cull hunts aren't a bad thing as they really help a person learn shot placement. Nothing like a good wack 'n stack for practice. Anyhow, Lynn shoots multiple targets on the run, and I find that quite impressive -- but that's just me.

I bought the video in question, watched it once, & sent it to Tigger about a year ago. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Of course you haven't. It was spam trying to sell travel trailers in Australia.

Ya, the last one we had was for an “escort service.” Totally not right. Even for this Sailor...
