My new SBHH that is,its a very good looking gun the stocks are just about pure black, darker than I expected.I have it over at the local smiths getting a spring kit put in it,the trigger pull was heavy and had some creep.Ive got some 250 gr wfn pb on order from CP,brass resized, trimmed and expanded.I would like a load around 1200 fps and was thinking of imr4227 but Im sure open to advice.Looked at acouple of reddots whlie I was there but decided on a 1.5x4 weaver scope.Id like to post some pictures but Im a mental migit when it comes to computers and dont even have a digital camera tho I could get one if I knew what to do with it,thanks Dave.

I have not owned one, but all of the Hunter models I have fired have been terrific guns. I am sure you will like it.

Getting 1200 fps will be no problem with that bullet, and should do most anything you could want. I like 4227 a lot and don't think that is a bad place to start. I have used it in 45 Colt and 454 Casull, but have not with a 44 mag. H110/WW296 are also good, as is 2400.

430man mentions high pressure spikes with 4227 when the gun is subjected to high temps.(I think). I don't know anything about that but maybe he will shed some light for you.

I like to load for accuracy, then see what my velocity is.

You're gonna catch hell for not posing pics, so be forewarned.

Let us know how it shoots!

I know Muddy I should get it together once and get the camera and try to figure it out but the cut and past and all that stuff leave me totally confused.

Nope not a bisley grip,my first choice would have been a bisley in 45 colt but the gun shop I go to couldnt find one in 45 let alone a bisley grip, but I think Ill be real happy with my second choice, just gotta work up a load and practice, alot.
