I seen it when it came up at the start and yea at first look it seems a bargin, but no grips and no forend. Even if someone got it for the start bid they are looking at around 20 ship plus another 15-20 possible transfer fee, and them new G2 hardware is a pretty penny. Seems like the other grips dont fit or something. So that throw another chunk into it. By the time it was all done would end up costing around 275. Just thinking out loud on it, forgive me as am bored at work. Good day to all.

If that local one is an easy open frame, then that might be your ticket. If barrels are some thing you want to play with, even not could part out set keep what you want and may be money ahead. Kinda waiting on the tax man myself, What the tax man giveth the huntin' room taketh away.

Slavage, I would take the older Contender and the accessories. The older contender I think is a better gun. I know people will dispute that, but that's my opinion.

now can some one explane to me the prob the old contender had i heard if you put the hammer down an dont open it it wount rearm when you pull the hammer back again an all so the big thing is if you dont open it after you put the hammer down is that it can go off if you bump the hammer??
again this is only what i heard

an if the only prob is that you have brake it back open again to fire it an thats all then im thinking of a older contender then in stainless is what i should be looking for

That's it. Just that little problem. Now the bigger problem, some of the Contender barrels will not work on the G-2. The hammer can not be cocked. If you speak with t/c about it, they send new parts but that did not rectify the problem. Too me that is a bigger issue than having to reopn the action. IMHO

That is it on the little quirk with the older frame. If you pull the hammer back then let it down, just re-arm it with the trigger guard right then, to me really no big deal. IMHO. Plus I like the triggers on the old a lot better, especially after I get down tuning them. Wish you well with getting a hold of it.

Slavage, I prefer the older ones over the G2 myself, & that sounds like a bargain.
What caliber are the barrels?
