Hi all,

Just thought I would post a couple of pics of the holster and cartridge slide I made for my .44 Super Blackhawk. Its made from veg tan leather, the finish is a really nice and deep soft gloss...going to have to cover it when out hunting but I think it looks quite nice up close. The back is lined with pig skin and its adjustable for height of carry etc. The belt is made from Elephant skin, made that myself too.

I got the pattern idea from Ringler Leather, really nicely designed holster in my opinion (http://www.ringlercustomleather.com/catalog/i2.html). There is also another great review of this holster style on this forum.

Let me know what you think, good or bad.

Matabele,

Having purchased one of Von's holsters this year, I know the design is great - looks like you nailed it on the craftmanship-side too!

Great looking rig!

Excellent job and great looking rig!

Very nice! Excellent job all the way around.

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Nice job! I had Von make me a WY Combo holster for my scoped SBH Hunter last year. I really like it. That's probably my review were referring to.

Nice looking holster.

Snyd, I am about to send my measurements to Von for the same rig you got. How did you take your measurements? Did you draw a pattern of it on paper? I have the Bisley hunter in 45lc. Its scoped as well!

That is a very nice rig. You have talent! My good friend owns Tandy Leather here the Oklahoma City area and he and I made a holster, belt and shell holder for my Ruger Blackhawk 45LC in 5" barrel. It is great. Just needs a little breaking in and it will be ready for hunting. I will get a couple of photos this weekend and post.
