I called SSK and ordered a 416 Taylor in the Encore full bull with fish gill brake. That should be one bad dude for buffalo.

My gunsmith loves the .416 Taylor. Can't remember what case that is though...isn't that pretty much the .338WM necked up to .416"?

is it a rifle barrel, or pistol barrel? i remember you like the encore in rifle config.

It's in the 15" pistol configuration and it's based off of the 458 Win case just necked down to 416. I wish it was a rimmed case but you can't have everything I guess.

iron sights? or what kinnda scope and mounts you gonna put on that monster?
