I have been thinking of all the guns that I own, which one is my favorite and why? I have two, a challenger.22 & why? It is accurate and functions well, and is cheap to shoot. My other is a Colt Trooper, because it shoots well and I love 357's. I nixed my Hi-power for some unknown reason even though it shoots well, i guess because I have not had much luck with 9 mm' s, seen too many failures in expansion, etc. So what are your choices and why?

iron sight revolver is my bisley 45LC optic sight revolver is probably my 454 single shot is my Encore 300 Win Mag
If I could only take one of these with me hunting it would be the Encore, it will handle everything from small deer to Moose and even grizz with the right bullet.
If it were I could only own one in a survival situation it would the 45.

My current favorite is my .500 Maximum. As far as stock, out of the box revolvers are concerned, I really like my new 5 1/2-inch Bisley in .45 Colt.

a ruger MK II or III 22lr
a ruger super blackhawk bisley hunter
a thompson center contender
a remington xp 100
those are my favorite handguns. reasons range from accuracy, to pleasing looks, to versatility and handiness.

I am piecing together an encore pro hunter in 460. Using an MGM 14" ported stainless steel barrel scoped with a Leupold VXIII, and a forend from Tonysforendsandgrips.com in black and onyx.
Having trouble with the barrel at the moment, but it is going back in for bigger lugs, and to be custom fit to my action -- all for free! Should have it back in a few days.

I'm gonna lump all my FA's in the "favorite handgun" bucket, since most responders have listed more than one. Although the M97 .41 has a certain appeal...
And Kingfisher - run away from this topic and Ernie's response. FAST. Debt awaits...

Ain't that the truth, Ken! Here is my current favorite and the one I'll be carrying in the N. GA whitetail/hog/bear woods this fall stoked with 240 grain Remington JSP's over a healthy dose of 296:

Depends on what I am doing... ... ...
I am not trying to be a stick in the mud, LOL...
I love my TC's and I know I have more than I will ever use.
HOWEVER, my revolvers have a special place that is dear to my heart. I just use each differently...

And this is what happens when you fire Whit's 500 Max. At least if you're a .44 mag guy like myself and not really accustomed to the big boomers... Aim.... Fire!

Oh, and by the way, my own favorite of course being my .44 mag S&W 29-2, customized by a Swedish gunsmith according to my own design. Which was a little bit playful but still pretty complete, and highly useful.

I have finally decided I can't even answer this question. I like them all!!!

I was a handgun hunter, when handgun wasn't cool.....

just like my kids and my dogs, can't say that I have a favorite unless its the last one that treated me right. I've got a DW 44 that hits whatever I point it at. I don't perticularly like it but how can you part with an 8" open sighted 44 cal revolver that hit three walnuts with three shots when my hunting buddy and his wife stood ther gawkin and finally quit sayin' "aw that's just luck, try it again"
