Since I am new to this site, this may have been already discussed to death, but I wanted to give everyone some good news.
This past season, the Illinois DNR has approved handguns to be used during the regular shotgun deer season. This is great news and long in coming! Illinois has some of the best Whitetail hunting and now handgunners can take a shot at them. The regulations state that you can use any pistol or single shot with any .30 cal or larger straight walled cartridges. You can go to the website for more details.
