I have a new Bushy Trophy 2-6X laying in the safe that I don't need. It's posted in the ads for sale...but it may find its way onto the SSK 45-70 I've got coming...that's if it will hold up. Anyone have these scopes on big boomers?? I've had them on a 10" Maximum and 14" .35 Remmy and been pleased w/ performance. Those are boomers in their own right...but not 45-70 boomers!! Input??

I'd put it on there Dan, I've had them on several boomers and they've always been fine. I know JeffB has them on his 405Win, 444Marlin, 40-65 and 375-06JDJ Encore's and he loves them.

It will probably be fine. I tend to worry a little too much with mine. I thought about a variable, but the thought of it failing 10 miles into a wilderness area keeps nagging at me. I like the simplicity of a 4X. Just one less thing to go wrong. I have a 4X Burris on mine with a four ring (like I said, I worry too much) EAB Co 6 screw mount.

Hey Dan, I had one of those on my 375 JDJ for about 100 shots before I got the Leupy. I had no problems at all, it was a breaked barrel.
