What kind of velocity do yall load the xtp bullets to in 44mag? Specifically the 240gr, and the 300gr. I'm looking for first hand experience regarding observed wound channels or recovered bullets. My Ruger shoots the 300's just a fuzz better, but the couple deer I took with factory loaded ammo showed almost a pencil hole thru. I didn't recover either 300gr slug, but the wound channel was disappointing. My particular pistol seems to like .430 jacketed slugs better, and the 300gr xtps the best. So, how fast does it need to be moving to help with some expansion? Or do the 240gr's do that much better when pushed hard? Thanks in advance, for any help finding a load that will expand a little more rapidly than the factory loaded fodder.
