AK Bear The footage isn't great of the kill because the goPro we were using doesn't zoom in.

Gary great video thanks for sharing. I've never hunted Alaska and would be very interested to join with others on a hunt like this. Are there member / small group hunts like this that one could hook up with?

Well there is always an opportunity to organize a hunt but it's always very difficult to find people with the interest, means and time to go. The AK bear hunt was the last of the no-draw hunts. Now you have to draw a tag in order to hunt. It really just a scam by the AK Game and Fish to induce you to hire a guide vs. hunting on your own. That was an awesome trip but things like that change in the law really chaps my A$$.

That's a bummer. I do have some means to hunt, I have a Montana horseback packin elk hunt (approx. $5,500) scheduled for mid Sept. But like you say finding guys who can afford the time and $$ is hard. I would like to hunt with my sons but they're all to busy with work and raising families so am looking for guys that can come out and play. I live in western Washington and put out a feeler on a local forum for handgun hunting buddies, all I got was a few guys telling me about the handguns they own and how they prefer to bow hunt. One guy said "count me in" but doesn't own a handgun yet. I'm not waiting before and after the Montana elk hunt I plan on hunting bear, deer and elk in my state alone. I'm 64 and can't wait around, I'm huntin. Thanks Gary for Handgun Hunter Magazine its where I go just to hear from other like minded guys.

Great video and an awesome hunt, Gary. What those GoPros and other action cameras lack in quality, they make up for in the ability to see the hunt from your perspective. That, in my opinion, gives a better look into the hunt overall.
What video editing program did you use? Looked like it was a bit better than my Windows Live Movie Maker.
