I am working on a documentary for one of Britain’s most prestigious TV stations, Channel Four, on big game hunting. The aim of this observational programme is to find, follow and film the most intrepid, adventurous and accomplished hunter on the mission of his life. This can be either completing a grand slam, venturing into new territory or seeking the most elusive. What does it take to bring back that once in a lifetime trophy? A steady hand, anticipating the beast, perseverance or simply luck? Could this be you or someone you know? Let me know if you are interested in sharing your stories or if you or any of your friends are planning any exciting trips in the near future.

Best regards -- Julia

Please excuse us if we don't trust you any farther than we could throw you, but hasn't Britan outlawed all forms of hunting as well as handguns? I can't even fly through your country in transit with a handgun. Please...

Does sound a little shady. Considerding some european olympic shooting teams have to train outside of their countries now due to the firearms restrictions placed on them by their governments. Makes me wonder how many people in britian would be interested in a hunting documentary exspecially a Handgun huntig one. I agree with Gary PLEASE......

For the record, handguns have indeed been totally banned in the UK. "Hunting" has been also been outlawed, but the term "hunting" in the UK applies only to the practice of following hounds on horseback in persuit of fox. The UK's ban on this form of fieldsport is laughably flawed and it not one hunting group has stopped because or it.

In reply to Julia's post, I'm wondering why your email address doesn't include @bbc.co.uk as all the other Channel 4 addresses do? Moreover, having watched Channel 4 once or twice, I find it rather difficult to see how there would be in interest in a program about American-style hunters. Could you, perhaps, tell us a bit more about your project?

This is a serious and genuine request. If you go to our website www.electricsky.com, you can easily see who and where we are. The programme is for Channel Four which is equally renoun, but has nothing to do with the BBC.

Unfortunately I don' t have much time to "chat", but if any of you considers himself as one of the most accomplished big game hunters out there or knows someone who is, please pm or email me directly.

Best -- Julia
