It is a Competitor Single Shot chambered in the 416 Barnes wildcat round. That is the pistol I used for the big feral boar. The Russian boar was killed with a Competitor in 376 Steyr.

I got this guy in the Hill country of South TX in July,2012- 150lb, 2" cutters, shot with Contender SSK 6.5JDJ, 120 grn Sierra Pro Hunter. I went with some guys that were hunting exotics. I told them I would go with them and drive if I could hunt in the hills, unguided with my pistols. No problem.

Not my best, but the only ones I have pictures of. Years ago and much younger. Stand hunting (sitting on a tree limb)with the TC in .45-70. Shot down through her shoulder. Wasn't wearing hearing pro.........last time I EVER did that! Liked to knock me out of the tree from the stunning pain in my ears! I was young and stupid. Learned my lesson.  More recent with my daughter. Spot and stalk with my XP-100 in .260 Remington (in process of being finished) using 130gr Bergers. The SP has since been coated and re-scoped.

Not a boar but one more mean sow. She was after me when I killed her. Body was much bigger than it appears in this picture. She was very thick from back to belly. I guessed 350lbs but was more like 450lbs. reflex264
