Ruger "only" loads in a .45 Colt 97 will give plenty of gusto. With them, your hand will give out before the gun does.
With all due respect, I can't accept the claim of a 50,000 psi rating for a 97 in .45 Colt..

With all due respect, I can't accept the claim of a 50,000 psi rating for a 97 in .45 Colt.. I know the model 97 are strong but I wouldn't run the 45 colt above 25,000 psi. I agree with 500WE it will have plenty of gusto at Ruger loads. I have three of the model 97's 5 1/2" in 22lr, a 7 1/2" 22lr/22mag and a 5 1/2" in 44 special. All are absolute task drivers. Would love too have one in 41 mag.
