I'm looking for a chest or shoulder holster for my Ruger Single Six 4.62" barrel. I will use this mainly for hiking, camping, and fishing. Also for squirrel hunting occasionally.

I don't want to spend a ton of money, just need something that will work.

Google "Uncle Mike's". They aren't leather but they work very well for me.

Which Uncle Mike's holster do you use? The shoulder holster or bandolier?

Bandolier...for my TC Encores--15"-19". I'm sure they make 'em for the shorter wheel guns as well. If not, I will look for my old one I used for the PCs and give it to you.

Can you switch holsters on the 7x or Diamond D harness? I think they'd be worth the investment if I could use a couple different holsters on the same harness.

Yes. I believe the Diamond D guys can make you two holsters for one harness.

I have 3 of the Diamond D holsters, been using them for years. They are spendy, but excellent.
