I set one up recently for a friend to hunt deer with a vortex venom sight. I think it will work well. It shot the Buffalo Bore 155gn Barnes bullets into ~2" groups at 50 yards off a bench. Velocity was faster then 1500fps with a 6.5" aftermarket barrel and compensator. Recoil was moderate to light depending on the load. My biggest gripe is the trigger. I think you could turn it into a 100 yard gun if it weren't for the trigger.
There are several recent threads about 10mm recently with lots of comments from others who know more them me and some good suggestions on how to tune the trigger.

Plan on using mine for deer and pigs. Already took one pig with it. But, I had my .40 SWarrel and ammo in it when I began the stalk. 100 yards into the stalk, I remembered I had the conversion barrel and ammo in the gun. Too late to turn around, I completed the stalk and took the boat at 15 yards with the .40 S&W ammo. It worked.
Next time, I'll have the right barrel and ammo in the gun.

 I think I remember reading that story.

I shot a friends new model 40 glock in 10mm with a burris FF3 on it yesterday. It shot about like the target pic shown above. I have to agree on how disappointing the trigger was. Seemed like I pulled on it for 4-5 seconds before it went bang.

I am thinking about picking up a 10mm, I think as production picks up, the Ruger SR1911 will come down in price enough for me to grab one. I am mostly a 45 and up guy, but I do love the 1911.

Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I am a huge fan of the 10mm I own 7 10mm handguns. I have the 40 with an RMR that gun is fun to shoot is reliable and will hit consistently on a deer size target at 100 yards. Yup it's that much fun. For hunting deer it is my go to gun it rests In a chest style holster from DD. It makes short work of whitetailed deer. I like the 200 grain WFN over some Power Pistol powder. That same gun with a 155 grain XTP over a load of Power Pistol will cut a ragged hole at 25 yards. Also a great deer load to about 75 yards.
Disclaimer; Do not buy a 10mm for you will never be satisfied with one gun the illness that ensues is most difficult to break the fever. The only cure is more and more 10mm guns and ammo.

If I were into Pig Hunting I would be saving up for a G40 MOS. So far I have lucked out, and my local dealer has not gotten any in stock. He does have a compact 10mm that I keep looking at for concealed carry. I have had my No Dash 610 S&W since the early 1990's. I am a 10mm fan.

Buds Gun Shop online is hard to beat on new gun prices and they have great customer service. They have the Glock G40 for under $700 cash price.
