I think you'll be fine with a 150 or 165 Nosler Ballistic Tip. I use a 150 on whitetails with very good results. My load is MAXIMUM in my gun and is 52 grains of IMR 4350 with a Federal match primer out of an SSK barrel. If you happen to knock the aoudad flat with the first shot get up on him and shoot him again. I almost let one get away from me a few years ago (using too much bullet in a 375). After he got up and ran off it took about 4 hours to find him and finish it. Keep your shot low on or immediately behind the shoulder.

Yes, I'll have to do that tonight when I get home. The velocity was about 2300 with the 150 from what I remember. The sweet part is that load shoots a half inch 5 shot group or better when I do my part. I imagine you could get a little more velocity out of some other powders but with accuracy like that I don't really care - it's always done every think I've asked of it.

My overall length is 3.155" for the 150grain. I trim the cases after fire forming to square up the mouths and the case length I'm looking at is 2.180". I don't have an OAL for the 165 since I haven't shot them in quite a while. Again this is an SSK barrel from about 15 years ago so keep that in mind and work up to the max in your barrel with your components.

Simba,
Here are a few loads I have developed over the years. These are max in my gun which is a .30 Herrett rechambered to .309JDJ. The best thing to do is knock a couple of grains off and use a chronograph to make sure you are maxing your gun out.
Good luck and be careful.
150 Nosler Ballistic Tip 51.0 gr IMR 4350 CCI 200 O.C.L. = 3.030" Velocity = 2320 fps (avg)
165 Nosler Ballistic Tip 54.0 Reloader 19 CCI 200 O.C.L. = 3.180" Vel = 2364 fps (avg)
180 Nosler Ballistic Tip 51.0 RE 19 CCI 200 O.C.L. = 3.205" Vel = 2234 fps (avg)
165 Speer Grand Slam 46.0 RE 15 O.C.L. = 2.980" Vel = 2388 fps (avg)
