I dug up some old footage of when I started my son out on handgun hunting. When he was 8 years old, I got him a Ruger Charger for Christmas. I figure it was a good platform to start him out learning handgun safety, field shooting positions and it was very accurate to boot. I told him when he learned to kill squirrels, I'd let him start hunting big game. It didn't take long....
