The good Lord blessed with the opportunity to get a shot on this guy Saturday morning. No trail camera pictures, first time we had seen him. 48 yard shot with my Ruger Redhawk chambered in 429 GNR using a 240 grain XTP.

13 points, 12" inside spread. Total 142-5/8 gross.

My setup after the dense morning fog lifted.

Dangitboy! That's a stud, Randy! Congrats on a beautiful buck! Did he come from the same area as buck you got with your 357? Man he's a beauty!

KRal,

I shot him about 100 yards from where I took the 11 pointer. I owe Gerald a lot of deer summer sausage now!

A different view.

I am sure you are happy. Congratulations.

The 429 GNR isn't that the 454 necked down to 44 ?

Gerald must be adding a little miracle grow to the water around there!

That is a very nice buck, especially with a revolver. From the picture, it looked like a frosty morning after the fog lifted.
Great Job.

Yes. I'm shooting the 240 XTP at 1625 fps. and a 260 grain cast at 1710 fps.

hell of a buck! congrats!
on a buck like that, score be damned, he is way cooler looking than the score shows (nothing wrong with a 140s buck, but yours has a whole lot of head gear!)
