I decked the frames on Both guns and Did the French Walnut scales. Notice how that French Walnut seems to have it's own personality? The 44 has more of a red hue to it than brown and the wood on the 22 has turned more yellow than the orange that it sometimes turns. Alan Harton did trigger and action jobs on both of them. He also fit the Bisley frame, and steel ERH, to the 44mag. Back in 2012 I could not find a Bisley in the short barrel configuration. So I had him do this one for me. I could not have been happier. This 44 has proven to be quite accurate. 44 has .002 cylinder gap and 2LB trigger.
The 22 has the plum color on the ERH and Load Gate. Having the 22 mag cylinder has been fun too. Lots of small game has fallen from the unerring accuracy of it. The 2LB trigger is clean and crisp.
Charles
Thanks for the help James

Rubber grips may not be beautiful to some but this gun is beautiful to me. Its a 5 inch, 5-shot, .44 mag BFR nicknamed appropriately (by s4s4u) "Lil' Bulldog".

Very nice Pab. A lot of punch packed into that small package. BTW, I dig rubber grips too - more from a functional standpoint but I do prefer them.

Don't know how beautiful they are, but here's what I'm working with.

From top to bottom they are:

NM Blackhawk in .45 Colt with American Holly grips by Private Schultz. They look like they don't fit properly, but that's the poor camera angle. They fit perfectly.

Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum

NM Blackhawk in .357 magnum

I have yet to kill a deer with a handgun, but hoping to remedy that soon.

A new Bisley I picked up last spring, just a 357 mag, but for me the perfect 357 mag to own. Wormy pecan grips from a 100 year old barn beam,,

Just finished a trigger job and hammer spring replacement on my new toy. Barrel is (Thanks DAN L on SP) an OTT 20 Vartarg step barrel (1.25 Diameter) 16.5 inches long. May be some potential here. Scope is a Burris MTAC 6.5-20x50mm. Forearm is a Tony G Pillar Bedded. Temporary grip is a beautiful Dave D. red laminate, but Walnut grip to match forearm is being order. Cartridges are loaded with a light load of H4198 and 32 Gr Hornady V Max. Rest of course is a Fuzz work of art. I am guessing around 3300-3500? This thing is a HOOT to shoot. Cant wait to really have time to play with. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I KNOW I did.
God Bless
Doug

New Super to the stable, sometimes ya just get lucky! New to me 357 Maximum, new it was nice from the sellers pic's, but I ain't sure this has ever shot anything but Mag's and Special's, and very few of them. No forcing cone erosion or flame cutting. Bluing is 99% a little wear on the muzzle and a tad on the front edge of cylinder, and the turn ring. What a way to start the new year.

I was really wanting to send this to Clements for a Turnbull frame and high polish blue. But I think Bill will rest easier if I find another to alter! This one will stay original even has the correct rear sight blade and adjustments, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So I did what was asked and this is the tiny pic.com uploaded photo of my beautiful Model 329PD with a stainless steel cylinder replacing the titanium one it came with. Also added a Hogue X-frame recoil absorbing grip to it. Later it will be Mag-Na-Ported with dual trapezoidal ports. And Ken Kelly will also polish the hammer and the trigger of this revolver. I tried to post a better and clearer picture. Hope it works for you all.

5 1/2 INCH RUGER SINGLE SIX 22MAG/22lr, WHICH I HAVE SEMI "PERFECTED" WITH A 2 DOGS FRONT SIGHT, A No. 5 STYLE BELT MOUNTAIN BASE PIN AND SOME HOLLY WOOD GRIPS BY SIXSHOT. THE GRIPS ARE PLUMPER THAT THE FACTORY GRIPS AND I REALLY LIKE THE FEEL BETTER. THE 2 DOGS SIGHT IS AMAZING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT (I GOT IT .110 WIDE vs. .125 WIDE). JUST PUT THE No. 5 BASE PIN IN THIS MORNING AND IN INFORMAL SHOOTING IN A 20mph WIND IT SURE SEEMED TO SHOOT BETTER WITH THE 22lr CYLINDER. HAVE NEVER SHOT IT WITH THE 22MAG CYLINDER. ACTION WORK AND A BETTER REAR SIGHT WOULD FINISH IT OUT, BUT IT IS JUST A PLINKER AND TRIGGER TIME TRAINER, SO FOR NOW I WILL KEEP IT AS IS.

ITS UNFORTUNATE BUT IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO LEAVE YOUR TREASURES ON DISPLAY, IN SOME PLACES IT COULD BE ILLEGAL, AND IN MOST PLACES YOU ARE JUST RISKING LOSING THEM TO THEFT OR FIRE. MAYBE ONCE A YEAR, USUALLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY, WHEN MY WIFE AND I HOST A BUNCH OF FAMILY FOR LUNCH, I SET UP A DISPLAY OF A VARIETY OF FIREARMS, MOSTLY HANDGUNS, SOME ARE USERS, SOME ARE SENTIMENTAL, SOME ARE SAFE QUEENS, BUT ALL ARE NICE TO LOOK AT.

NOT THE BEST OF PICTURES BUT IT IS NOT EASY TO PHOTO THRU GLASS. ON THE RIGHT ARE SOME SEMI-AUTOS, A 30 MAUSER BROOMHANDLE, A GERMAN LUGER, A JAP NAMBU, A BROWNING HIGH POWER, A COLT 45 1911 WITH IVORY GRIPS, AND A COLT HAMMERLESS 380. ON THE LEFT ARE BANDED BARREL RUGER BISLEY CUSTOMS IN 500JRH, 475L WITH IVORY GRIPS AND 45 COLT WITH ELK STAG GRIPS, A LINEBAUGH RUGER REDHAWK IN 45 COLT AND A 5 INCH S&W 45 COLT. IN THE BOTTOM MIDDLE, LEFT SIDE ARE A NICKELED MODEL 53 WITH A 22 K-HORNET CYLINDER AND ELK STAG GRIPS, AN 8 INCH 38 SPECIAL TARGET PYTHON AND A NICKELED COLT BUNTLINE IN 44 SPECIAL, AND RIGHT SIDE ARE A COLT OFFICERS MODEL 22lr WITH ELK STAG GRIPS, A 8 3/8ths NICKELED MODEL 27 357 MAG WITH SAMBAR STAG GRIPS AND A COLT BUNTLINE IN 45 COLT WITH IMITATION GRIPS. THE RIFLES ARE A MODERN MADE 1895 IN 405 WINCHESTER, MY UNCLE JAMES RAUL "TIO RAUL" CHAMPION's MODEL 94 30-30 (PURCHASED RIGHT AFTER WWII), AND A FIRST YEAR, NO XTRA HOLES, PERCH BELLY STOCK, MODEL 99 IN 250-3000.

Ok 45MAN,
My 500 S&W has been bead-blasted by Cylinder and Slide. They set the barrel back for a .005 cylinder gap. Also did an action job and installed a fixed overtravel stop on back of the trigger. Bowen Classic Arms blackpowder chamfered the front of the cylinder and beveled the charging holes. Also, I installed a Bowen Classic Arms lanyard ring and lanyard system. Jack Huntington installed a McGivern big-dot gold front sight I purchased from Brownells installed. And I bought a Bowen Classic Arms Target steel rear adjustable sight for it.
