I thave a 45 Colt Bisley Hunter, went with the 2X Weaver and has held zero with some pretty stiff loads with 340 grain bullets for over 5 years. I chose it because like to hunt with the open sights but can't see them first and last light, so the Weaver 2X was chosen because it was the first one that set between the front and rear sight.
This allowed me to zero my open sights and hunt mid morning to early evening with open sights, and have the scope on for early and late hunting hours. I would like to look for another scope though as the weaver has a very short eye relief requires elbows to bent more than I like for full field of view. Other than that is a descent setup.
