Very nice article. How do these compare (function & feel) with the XP and the HS Precision handguns?

Previously I wrote an article in AMERICAN HANDGUNNER on the NCH when it was first introduced. Photos of game taken were posted here in previous threads. How they "feel" may be subjective but they function perfectly - at least the ones I've shot have performed flawlessly. They are extremely accurate -- at the recent MOA Long Range Handgun Match - I shot a 5-shot group at 750 yards (6mmCM) with an official 4.43" inch group. My best 5-shot group at 500 yards was 3.60". The gun is very accurate. I've been fortunate to take bobcat, coyote, whitetail, mule deer, antelope, gator, and dall sheep with a 6.5 CM.

I like them well enough to have ordered number 3. For what it's worth -- I also shoot and like XPs and H-S Precision. H-S Precision is no longer manufacturing a handgun.

Thanks but it's all about the gun -- I'm just the nut behind the trigger. I was trying to convey the gun is capable of excellent accuracy.

It takes both shooter and the gun. You both did great.

It looks to be a pretty solid specialty pistol. I really want one, but not quite enough to justify the $2,500 price tag.

Can we all just stop and appreciate how beautiful they are? They're hands down my favorite looking specialty pistol. I've seen plenty of pictures of XP-100s that aren't all that pretty, and that new Remington SP looks like the illegitimate lovechild of an AR-15 and XP-100R.

Chance, Nosler now offers a less expensive model dubbed the Independence. Not exactly sure what the street price runs but guessing around $1700 or less.

I have seen the Independence model offered online in 6.5 Creed. for $1,500.00 but both sites were "Out of Stock" at the time. It's very hard to build a custom XP for that price!

Has anyone checked out the Black Widow pistol at http://www.kaugerarms.com.. Saw it at the Wild Turkey Fed. show early this year in Nashville. Around $1600.00
