Here lately my taste has turned to shorter barreled revolvers so when the chance came up to swap my 6" for a 4" I made the trade. Took her out for a test run today, very pleased with the results.

Great shooting. Does it shoot better than the six inch barrell?

The 6" shot very well also, I just wanted a shorted version and he wanted a 6" so we traded straight across.

Nothing wrong with that!

Did you test the velocity difference?

My 686 (see bragging board Photo) has 4 inch also - shoots 180 hard cast really well. I never got jacketed to shoot that well especially 158 grainers. I sold my razor and got a Matchdot II - just fits me better. Great groups from yours. Care to share some load data? I plan to take a WT with mine this year.

I like the 4 inch barrel best myself. Can?t give a list of reasons but I just do.
