Awesome. I watched it over lunch today. Heckuva fallow. I've see many spotted and many chocolates, but very few spotted chocolates.

That?s what drew me to that deer - the color. As you could see in the video, the spotted one was a better scoring deer.

Fallow deer is Ok, in my opinion. I was hoping they?d be somewhere close to Axis or Sika, but they?re not in the same league. IMO Fallow is not as good as whitetail. That being said, both Fallow I?ve killed have been during the rut and they were smelling a little rank - a doe May better reflect the true flavor.

I eat all the deer we kill, WT and mule deer, but I'm not really a fan other than grinding it up for sausages and mixing with wild pork and beef fat. I've always heard the exotic deer were much more palatable. I took my sons to Africa a few years ago and everything they killed was delicious (reminded me of elk) other than one species (either Impala or blesbok).
