Has anyone used the 120 gold dot in the 6.5 cva pistol? Looking for load data with H4350 or any powder being used with this bullet.

Sorry, all of my 6.5 Creed loads have been with the 140 grain bullet, but not in a CVA. Zee will probably have some 130 grain load data, but I can't remember if he did 120 grain.

I use the 130 ELD-M and H4350.
No 120gr data from me.

Most of the data ive seen with h4352 with 120 goes to around 45 gr. I will start aroung 43.5 -44 and go from there i guess. Thanks for the replies.

I just looked mine up.
130gr ELD-M has 44gr H4350 under it.

Found a load of 44.3 of H4350 shot good. Has anyone used Re16 with 120 in the 6.5 creed?May be able to get a little more velocity from it than the 4350.

If, you have a good load with H-4350, I would probably leave it at that. Nothing wrong with tinkering for the fastest load though. Depending on your uses, I doubt the greater speed you may get from R-16 will make your trajectory much different, unless you start stretching things out further.

That is true. I probably wont be shooting over 2oo yds at game unless it is around a field.I need to chronograph that load when i get time.May try something else then. Just wanted it faster than my contender wildcat calibers with the 30-30 based cartridges. But i know it is not a superfast cartridge to begin with. May try some heavier bullets in it.Thought the 120 may be better out of the pistol length but it could be better with the heavier ones.

Got me some re16 and see what it does with the 120.See if it does any better velocity wise with accuracy compared to the h4350. Just curious. Anyone have any loads with it?

Reloader 16 is a very good powder in the 6.5 Creedmoor. I?m working on a load with the 125 Nosler Part. and it?s looking really good so far. Albeit I?m shooting it in a rifle and I see no reason why it won?t work well in a pistol length barrel (15?). Keith

I have had good luck with 120gr Nosler BT and Superformance. The load DRTed a whitetail doe at 300yds. That was out of an XP with a 16? barrel. IIRC it was 27 something FPS.
