I have come to terms with the fact that I am merely an average pistol shot on a good day. So, I put an Ultradot30 on my Blackhawk. I've been wanting to incorporate it in to my hunting battery, but have never been confident enough in my shooting ability to go to the stand only carrying a handgun. Hopefully this will help turn it around. [img] [/img]

I CARRY OS REVOLVERS ALL THE TIME BUT RARELY JUST CARRY AN OS REVOLVER WHEN HUNTING. FOR HUNTING, I PREFER AN OPTIC.
"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

I?ve killed a few deer with different handguns, but most all were scoped. The open sight kills were long ago, all from here on out will be either w/scope or reflex sight. I just hope there will be more.

Aging eyes have forced me to scope a bunch of my hunting handguns. No shame in it. I have some set ups that yield shots 50 yards of less so sometimes I carry open sighted guns. What ever works for you take advantage of it.
"A quiet hit in the right place is better than a loud miss in the wrong place followed by 10 more shots on the run"
I was a handgun hunter, when handgun wasn't cool.....
