Drew an early season management tag and decided to take the Bisley Hunter out. Took this doe at 45yds this weekend. It was hot, but she came out shortly before dark feeding on acorns on one of the few white oaks dropping acorns.

It should be good eating. Both Monday and Tuesday last week I had two does eating acorns under the big White Oaks in my yard. My White Oaks in the yard are really loaded this year. I hope the same is true of the oaks in the woods.

Great start!

It is true. Deer are lapping up white oak acorns as fast as they are hitting the ground. Might be a long cold winter.
