I just got an email from John touting finding ammo on Lucky Gunner. Checked out the site and found they have .22LR plinking ammo for $0.38 a round. Left a message "PRICE GOUGER" for him. One more site on my list of nevers.

DON'T LIKE IT, BUT I EXPECT TO SEE PRICE GOUGING FROM SOME COMMERCIAL CONCERNS, BUT WHAT REALLY BUGS ME IS WHEN I SEE SOME OF THAT FROM MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM AND THE SINGLEACTIONS FORUM, HAVE NOT SEEN MUCH AT ALL, BUT 1 IS TOO MANY.

"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

I saw that and just about choked on my coffee. It was also about the only thing they had in stock.

While I don't like it and understand why others don't, supply and demand is the core driver of capitalism. My cheeky question about the situation is, if ya don't like it does that make you a socialist? :0

I wonder where the 8 million new gun owners are getting ammo for practice and range time (assuming they practice and don't have a stockpile)? Do ranges have enough supply trickling in to keep some on the shelf for use at their range? I picked up a couple revolvers last fall at a LGS and the guy comped me a 50rnd box of 45ACP for one of the pistols (they had 2 boxes on the shelf). They were offering good money for used guns and used ammo.

not defending but my parents owned a Jewelry store-- same complaints in hard times-- was not their choice chicken squat rolls down hill-- for them if gold went up every thing gold in the store went up some times daily - so they could be able to buy replacement stock -- lots of fussing over it anyway
certainty gouging is on going and will for a long time to come.
