TC / S&W Customer Service that deserves to be recognized.

My 2003 TC Encore that hosted the original style (straight line hammer) broke the weekend of 1/17/21. I called TC support number on the following Monday to see if I could secure a replacement hammer. No, they will not send out just a hammer, it must be factory repaired. They sent me via Email a prepaid Federal Express label.

I boxed it up and sent them the bare receiver with broken hammer to them on Tuesday 1/19/21. I asked that I?d prefer this receiver be upgraded to the new Pro-Hunter swing style hammer. During this process I received Email notifications that the receiver was received with signature. This Monday I received another Email notice that the receiver was scheduled for return by Federal Express.

Today I get back a worked over repaired receiver.

They replaced the hammer to the new style as requested.
Replaced the Fire-pin & spring
Replaced the old bushing
Replaced the trigger
Replaced all the push pins with new
Re-blued the entire receiver.

This receiver looks new.

They did not request any payment for this service and completed this in under a week.

Excellent customer service.

D..

I am a bit shocked. Not what I would have expected.

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Sounds like the customer service I received from T/C about 35 years ago. I sent in an old non-EZ Open frame that I worried I had stretched asking if it was safe to use; they sent back a brand new EZ Open receiver, gratis. I wouldn?t expect that today, but this thread gives me hope for above average customer service.

Based on total trigger pull weight, my trigger finger has lifted well over 200 tons....

I don't think this is a one and done by any means. I've had great service from them as well. Had a hinge pin issue that they repaired just as quickly as what the OP talks about. Sent me a few goodies along with it when it was returned. I haven't had a T/C since I got into Ruger Super Blackhawks, but the TC is a platform I certainly enjoyed. Made one HECK of a 460 S&W on a Pro Hunter frame once. Barrel from MGM, foregrip from Tony's. Bellm did some trigger / head space work on it. When it was all said and done, it was probably one of the best shooters I've had in a LOOOOOOOONG time.

Damon, that's as good as it gets!!! TC doesn't get the recognition that they deserve. Thank you for sharing.

That's great news. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting that outcome as I was reading it.

That's great news. Glad it worked out for you and that they seem to be back on track.

Normally all we ever hear about are the Bad Experiences. Nice to hear something positive about a company these days.
