I really had my doubts if I was going to be able to deer hunt this year. Got Covid on Nov 2 and took 21 days for me to get over it. I’m blessed though as I had low grade fever and cough. I went to the range with two Contenders, 357 Max and 445 SM. I really wanted to use the 445 this year but that didn’t happen. Do believe the Burris
2.5 X 7 took a crap. It shot high and low and the settled down to 4 inches low and elevation adjustment does nothing.
I hunted sun up to sun down last Saturday and saw nothing. Sunday got in tree stand around 2 PM, overlooking a food plot. 5:05 PM a deer comes out of woods into the food plot 70 yds from me. At the shot it takes off running UP HILL!!!! First time I have ever seen a deer run up hill after being shot! Found it 40 yards from where I shot it. Turns out it was a button buck. Bullet went through right front shoulder and I found the bullet under the hide on the other side.
It felt so good getting out in the woods after being in the house so long.

Congrats on kicking the kung flu to the curb and getting out to hunt ! The venison is a nice bonus too. It looks like your bullet performed perfectly.
