Guys I need help
I got some Cast Per. 395gr for my 460
I need some starting load data
Any one got any exp. with this bullet

H20, Starting loads for the 460S&W with the 395grCPB:
H-4227- 28.0grs for 1516fps
296- 30.0grs for 1553fps
H-110- 30.0grs for " fps
LilGun- 33.0grs for 1665fps

max loads using the same bullet and powders as above:
H-4227- 32.0grs for 1647fps
296- 34.0grs for 1693fps
H-110- 34.0grs for " fps
LilGun- 36.8grs for 1796fps

The above load information was taken from Hodgdon`s web site.
I found that when loading the 460S&W you have to be careful where you get your information from. I once loaded up some
460 ammo from a source on the web and the pressures were too damm high. Had to hammer the ejector to punch out the shells.

I was going by Hodgdon's .460 load data myself. I later called Hornady to ask about reccomended velocities for various bullets. I had them send me load data for their new 200gr FTX bullets. Come to find out, Hornady's max load using H110 was 6.2 grains hotter than Hodgdon's max.

it's best to always compare, I had it go the exact opposite a few years ago on the 475 data.
