Anybody know of any one or any company that makes (production or custom) an Encore pistol barrel chambered for a shotgun larger than .410?

You can have one custom made by a class 3 manufacturer. It has to be registered in the national firearms registry as an AOW. I am currently in the process of having a 15" 20 ga. Encore pistol barrel made to turkey hunt with. It's illegal to own a shotgun with barrel less than 18" unless you go through the correct procedures.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I like the thought of an Encore in a shotgun platform but I'd like a little more punch than a .410 for upland birds. I was thinking 20 ga but do you think a 12 ga would be doable on that frame? Are you having it made so that you can use a screw in choke tube system or will it be a fixed choke? If you don't mind me asking, what are you paying for that barrel?

12 ga is doable, I have one, 24" long gun model encore. I'm not sure you would want to shoot a 12 ga in a handgun...mine will have screw in choke...doner barrel $360, class 3 work $150, registration $5, transfer fee $75 and reaming/threading for choke (haven't decided who yet) around $100. Total (after S/H) over $700, just for barrel.

It's a lot of red tape involved but, it can be legally done...in my state.... Maybe not in yours.... You'll have to check your laws.

Well I suppose it's something to consider. Tack one more onto the list.

I'm moving. Don't know where to, when or how but I gotta get the hell outta this state. It'll be my first gun as a new resident of AK; where there is a second ammendment.
