There are rifle hunting shows, archery shows, crossbow shows but no handgun shows. Anybody know of any?

I guess there isn't any because there is a little bit of everything at a regular gun show. That's a cool idea though; a strictly handgun gunshow.

I think he is talking about TV shows. ??
I have seen some handgun hunting on shows but none centered on the topic.

The only handgun hunter that I see from time to time on outdoor TV shows is Larry Weishuhn. At least he's the only one that comes to mind. Too bad T/C hasn't decided to market their handgun line via a hunting show featuring Mr. Weishuhn. Seems like a winner to me. Heck for that matter, the other handgun manufacturers might want to promote their handguns as well via a handgun hunting show. Just a thought????

I would have thought that handgun hunters would have liked their own print magazine too but less than 500 subscribed.

I have toyed with the idea of making a handgun hunting show as I worked in the film industry for several years and one of my best friends is still a producer and another a video editor. I have access to what I need and know all the right people( except the one with money to burn) but the cost of doing shows is the hang up. Plus it's not like I have killed 10 thousand deer..Im no expert and no show host. It would be a LOT of work just to make a few episodes. Its intersting that this topic popped up as I have been having conversations with a few people about it. If you do a search you will find very few videos let a lone a TV show.

I talked to Micheal Bane once about this and he seriously wanted to do a show being such a handgun guy. The problem is the market is just too small to justify the expense for a major show. Companies like Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Thompson Center (same owners), Freedom Arms, and so on just dont ether have the money to put out or dont see the return on investment that self defense style shows offer.
I would love to see one but I think it has been looked at by a lot of gunshow guys for years, if it was feasible someone would make one. If someone does have the gumption to do it I am setting TEVO for it in minutes!
On the other hand we are seeing more and more hunting shows that dedicate a episode or two each season to handgun hunting. Peterson's Hunting has had at least 2 this year...

I did see one episode of Ruger Adventures on Versus about a lady taking a cape buffalo with a .454. Again, just one show. I did communicate with her by e-mail just to find out the particulars on the bullet used but didn't ask if there were any other shows comming.
