He called in the second one, the first one he spotted runnig out of the Alfalfa field and. He grabbed the revolver and got off of the machine, went into a draw where he was lucky enough to get the shot

That "bad" gun is a "killer!" Perhaps your friend should divest himself of that "evil" object. I'm willing to properly "EXORCISE" that beast for him. He can go "kinder - gentler." Again, it's a "messy" job, however, I would be willing to do it for him.
